Obama: Blowing Off Or Blowing It
Obama has made his campaign rhetoric resound with "bringing people together" and working "for all people", yet he has decided to "blow off" the blue collar white workers totally. Is this working to help all people, or only those special interest groups he can sway with his forked tongue? He says that in the general election, he can win the Presidency without those states. Can he? Time will tell. If he does win the the general election by carrying 90% of the black vote and less than 25% of the blue collar white worker vote, will that bring the country together, or will that further divide it? Once he is President and starts working more to help the blacks in this country at the expense of the white middle class, will that bring the country together? He is saying by his actions that only certain people matter and he will choose who those people are and reward them at the expense of the others. His lack of campaigning in West Virginia as well as his unwillingness to debate Hillary in North Carolina shows that he is playing the same old political game that he has vowed to change. The change he talks so fervently about will be the money in his pocket and those of his chosen and will be taken out of the middle class and blue collar workers. Let's hope this politicking of old blows up in his face.

Obama-nation
In the wake of the Reverend Wright controversy I need to point out a few things. First if Obama does become president, will the U.S. the be called an Obama-nation (abomination)? It will make sense won't it-having a President who is not only new to the world political field but also one who does not even have a basic understanding of economics, world issues, or free trade and is willing to sacrifice anyone who might impart a poor perception of him or even an innocent bystander.
My second point elaborates the last statement. When Obama gave his "greatest speech on race since Lincoln or Kennedy" the first time he addressed the controversy over "the Rev", he was willing to sacrifice his dead grandmother for the man. The woman who took him in as a child, made sure he got a good education, and pointed him the right direction so that he might run for the presidency was sacrificed for a non-relative who became Obama's "golden calf"-he idolized the man (and in my opinion, he still does). He called her a racist-this woman who "raised and sacrificed" for him-and hung her out for all the world to despise. A woman who is deceased and cannot deny these claims nor defend herself. The remark struck me as a spin off of the urban legend that attributes the same type of language to the Reverend Jesse Jackson that states that he said that when he heard footsteps behind him on a dark street that he was relieved when he turned around and found it to be a group of white men as a opposed to black youths that might do him harm. Did his grandmother really say those things to him? Who knows? But if you look at the fact that when he was being raised by his grandmother in the early 1970's, it was in Hawaii-HAWAII! How many blacks were in Hawaii in the early 1970's? The U.S. census for Hawaii lists a total of 7573 blacks living in Hawaii in 1970 or about 1% of the population-on all the islands. So, how much contact and situations involving fear of blacks could there possibly have been? Not many-if any.
The next point also deals with him throwing others to the wolves. Obama originally said "I can no more disown him (Rev.Wright) than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother..." Well, we've already seen him disown his grandmother and in his latest speech here in North Carolina he has totally disowned the Rev. Does that mean now he has also disowned the black community as well? That what it sounds like doesn't it? Obama did not look or act mad when he rejected The Rev-he looked more like a puppy who just got beat by the owner he loves but will come crawling back to him when the furor subsides. He does not reject The Rev, he is hurt by him but still has the idolization and admiration in his eyes.
I tend to agree with The Rev on one very critical point-Obama is a politician who must do what a politician does to get elected and stay elected. In spite of the rhetoric that Obama spews, he IS a politician-and a deadly one at that who is willing to throw family members as well as mentors to the lions for the sake of political gain.
If he is willing to do this while running for President (and running away from debates with Hillary), what (or who) will he sacrifice when he is President? The American people.

Obama-where's the beef?
In the presence of today's primary in Pennsylvania and preceeding the one here in North Carolina on May 6, I have to turn my attention again to Obama. The Charlotte Observer (which should be renamed the Charlotte Obama-server which, by the way, refused to print my letter to the editor exposing Obama's ties to Islam) reports today that there will be no debate in NC and that it was decided by the DNC because it is too late to schedule one. All this because Obama refused to debate Hillary who had already agreed to it. After the last debate in which he was finally asked some tough questions and his answers were not golden or platinum, I don't blame him. However, if he is trying to show that hes is substance and not all talk, then he should put forth his actions and not his words in a debate. Rather, he likes to have his words scripted and handed to the people under controlled situations and not "off the cuff."
In one of my previous blogs I mentioned Obama's ad campaign here in NC (which is on the radio at this very moment!) about big oil and what he would do to fix it. I got to thinking about this, and if he really wants to show the people he can get things done, why doesn't he go back to Washinton right now and introduce a bill to do just that. The last time I looked he was still being paid by "we the people" to do a job-not to campaign. Why doesn't he do that job now and show us what he can do before gas reaches $4.00/gallon? Why? Because he can't. And if he can't get the job done as a Senator (who are supposed to introduce legislation and pass laws--not the President!), then he surely won't accomplish this as President.
So, Mr. Obama, where's the beef?

Obama still claims no muslim ties-Hah!
By now everyone knows the ill-advised sterotypical remark of Pennsylvania white workers put forth by Barack Obama at a fundraier in San Franciso, CA, but do you know at whose home those comments were made? He was at the home of Sohaib and Sara Abbasi, a Pakistani (Abbasi is a muslim family name) who made billions of dollars for the computer giant Oracle. He obtained his computer science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Since the September 11 attacks, he has endowed Stanford University with $2.5 million dollars for an Islamic studies and professorship. The support includes graduate fellowships, research, new library, stronger language courses and public programs on Islam. They also tried to support computer science programs in educational (Muslim) institutions in Pakistan. Mrs. Abbasi sits on the board of Developments in Literacy that has built 200 schools in Pakistan since 1997. Their goal is not to provide an understanding of Islam by non-Muslims, but to promote Islam and its ideas.
Don't think for one moment that by them hosting and giving money to Obama that they aren't looking for any favors either for themselves, their Muslim ideologies or for their beloved Pakistan (which is harboring Osama Bin-laden). Here is your muslim background that you have strongly denounced publicly coming into play in the political arena that will affect this country and the non-Muslim countries as well, Mr. Obama!!!!

Obama's Shell Game
Ahead of the state primary here in North Carolina, Barack Obama has been running adds against the oil compainies and states that he does not take money from lobbyists. Is this true? What is the difference between a lobbyist and a person or corporation that donates alot of money to a campaign to have favorable legislation passed to help them in return? Nothing. He raised more than $1 million in the first three months of his presidential campaign from law firms and companies that have major lobbying operations in Washington DC. While he does not take money directly from official Washington lobbyists, he does accept money from local state lobbyists, financial contributors to the DC lobbyists, as well as corporate CEOs and investors including $160, 000 from the Big Oil & Gas companies-including Exxon, Shell, BP, & Chevron. He has also accepted money from Antoin Rzko who is on trial for a kickback scheme in Illinois. He has accepted money from The New Black Panther Party which is trying to acquire special rights, freedoms, and economic support (as well as a new country) for African-Americans (a term I hate to use because a person is either an American or not. If you want to be African, then be African, but if you want to be an American , be an American-you can't have it both ways. This goes with any other group calling themselves something-American). When he made the speech deriding blue collar workers in Pennsylvania, he was at a $2300 per head fundraiser. Are these the average Americans he is supposed to be helping if he is elected President, or are these the big business, upper class elite that he will be pandering to if elected? The blind and stupid will follow anyone anywhere, like cattle to slaughter, and he will lead this country to a slaughter of the middle class that has never been seen before. All of Obama's campaign is a shell game. He says one thing thing and then hides the truth under another shell. When people try to find out the truth, he shuffles it around and hides it somewhere else so that they only see what he wants them to see. Unfortunately, it is we the people of the United Staes of America (and perhaps the world) that are being taken for eberything we have.

Fix the economy!
There is all this talk about how to fix the economy which is in total decline at this time. Noboby is doing anything about it. Sure, there are going to be "stimulus checks" to get people to put money back into the economy, but it will not help. Plus, we have to claim it as income next year and pay taxes on it-Bush will be gone so he does not care what you think of him then.
Here are my suggestions to get the economy up and running.
1-Cap gas prices at $2.50/gallon & take away the tax credits for the oil companies. The way to really help the economy is to takethe load off the average American. In this case, oil & gas prices are causing people to stay home and not spend. The government regulates the natural gas & electric companies-why not the Big Oil companies as well?
2-Cap credit card interest rates at 18%. If you or I were on the street lending money to people and then charging upwards of 30-40% interest, it would be loan-sharking. If the banks do it, it is just business. By capping these rates, people could actually afford to pay down their debts and free up cash to spend on the economy.
3-Cap adjustable rate mortgages at 12%. The banks still make a nice profit (at least $360,000 on a $100,000 house over a 30 year mortgage) and it won't cause most homeowners to forfeit their homes for foreclosure. Hold banks accountable for investment failures. If banks invest and lose money, they shoild not be bailed out by the U.S. government, but should be closed. Simple, insure the banks, they lose money, the government repays the bank depositors their money and then closes the doors on that bank.
4-Cap health insurance and drug rates. If you ask most people what their biggest bills are, they will say their mortgage, their credit cards, health care & gas prices. It is outrageous what helath care providers charge and then refuse to pay for. No wonder people are going to other countries for surgeries and treatments as well as turning to Canada for drugs. Who can afford it here. There needs to be some type of across the board caps for insurance and for drug profits until a national health care system is obtained.
5-Revamp the politicians packages. If you ask the average American what they are most concerned about, they will usually tell you mortgages, credit cards, health care, and gas for their cars. If you ask the average politician what the average American is concerned about, they will tell Iraq and the war on terror. We need to bring them down to earth and let them feel what the average American feels every day. Therefore, I propose and end to taxpayers dollars being spent on housing and food, healthcare, and gas for any politician. Let them pay for their own like we do and then they will feel the pinches that we feel. No more traveling anywhere and everywhere they feel like it if they have to pay for the gas. The health care system would get overhauled in a minute if they had to pay for their own, and the mortgage companies and banks would be capped probably at lower rates than I propsed if they were paying the bills.
6-I also propose a cap on campaign money and that it will all be provided by the federal government with no donations allowed by any private or public persons. This would keep everyone on the same level and would ensure that noone is beholding to a special interest group. Then the politicians can concentrate on doing their jobs instead of raising money for the next election. It will also teach them to be frugal with the money they have and to spend it wisely on ads & campaigning and will take some of the mudslinging out of the campaign.
All these things are common sense which means the government will never take these under consideration, mostly because their pockets are being lined very well by the same groups I propose we cap.

Obama, where do I fit in?
Obama was in town here yesterday for a "town hall meeting." It was no town hall meeting, it was a pep rally with planted questions & prepared answers. While I did not get a chance to go, I did watch it on the "tube," as well as the radio. Anderson Cooper from CNN broadcast live from UNCC with a crowd of college kids behind him explaining that he spent the entire day with Obama and got to pick his brain. It made the appearance that Obama came to UNCC and that the college students are supporters of Obama. His talk was no where near the campus. It was on the other side of town-which in Charlotte is a long way away.
One thing Obama said that was not picked up on by any of the press, including The Charlotte Observer, was his remark of making sentences lighter for "nonviolent offenders such as cocaine and drug dealers." Say what? Just because they have not stabbed or shot someone directly does not mean they are not violent offenders. When a junkie dies from an overdose, shouldn't that make the drug dealer responsible for murder? In my book it does. Like giving easier and less time to drug dealers is going to help the drug problem in this country. I thought you were supposed to be tough on crime Mr. Obama.
He also said in his speech that he would end the war in Iraq by 2009, but then with Anderson Cooper he said that he would listen to the military advisers on the ground and that it might take longer. Don't give a date if you can't keep it! You sound like the Doomsday predictors saying the world will end on this date, and when it doesn't, they just amend it to a new date. Sounds like Obama is talking out of both sides of his mouth.
I also heard that he has now been endorsed by The New Black Panther group which is militant racist group (check out their 10 point agenda on their website) and that for a time it was listed as a support group on Obama's website. Well, I went to his website to try and see it for myself. First of all, for a man who is supposed to be transcending all racial barriers, he sure does segregate his website according to race. If you go to his category "People" it lists, and I quote:
Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders
African Americans
Americans abroad
Environmentalists
First Americans-talking about Native Americans
Generation Obama
Kids
Labor
Latino
LGBT-lesbian & gay
People of Faith
Students
Veterans
Women
Where is the category for Caucasians, men, or caucasian men? Guess he is not standing for me. Also looks like he is still segregating the nation by labels including race. This is the leader some people want as President? Secondly, I found that he did have a page dedicated to The New Black Panthers but has since removed it. The page on his website championed their issues of "Equality/civil rights; civil liberties/privacy, peace, & social justice; foreign policy/security, economic fairness/security; good government/ethics; affordable health care; education." Lets look at their "10 point platform:" (taken directly from their official website)
1. We want freedom. We want the power to practice self-determination, and to determine the destiny of our community and THE BLACK NATION.
2. We want full employment for our people and we demand the dignity to do for ourselves what we have begged the white man to do for us...We believe further in: POWER IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE! WEALTH IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE! ARMS IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE!
3. We want tax exemption and an end to robbery of THE BLACK NATION by the CAPITALIST.
4. We want decent housing, fit for shelter of human beings, free health-care (preventive and maintenance). We want an end to the trafficking of drugs and to the biological and chemical warfare targeted at our people. We believe since the white landlords will not give decent housing and quality health care to our Black Community, the he housing, the land, the social, political and economic institutions should be made into independent UUAMAA “New African Communal/Cooperatives” so that our community, with government reparations and aid (until we can do for ourselves) can build and make drug free, decent housing with health facilities for our people.
5. We want education for our people that exposes the true nature of this devilish and decadent American society. We want education that teaches us our true history/herstory and our role in the present day society.
6. We want all Black Men and Black Women to be exempt from military service.
7. We want an immediate end to POLICE HARRASSMENT, BRUTALITY and MURDER of Black People. We want an end to Black-on-Black violence, “snitching,” cooperation and collaboration with the oppressor. We believe we can end police brutality in our community by organizing Black self-defense groups (Black People’s Militias/Black Liberation Armies) that are dedicated to defending our Black Community from racist, fascist, police/military oppression and brutality. The Second Amendment of white America’s Constitution gives a right to bear arms. We therefore believe that all Black People should unite and form and “African United Front” and arm ourselves for self-defense.
8. We want freedom for all Black Men and Black Women held in international, military, federal, state, county, city jails and prisons.
9. We want all Black People when brought to trial to be tried in a court by a jury of their peer group or people from their Black Communities, as defined by white law of the Constitution of the United States.
10. WE DEMAND AN END TO THE RACIST DEATH PENALTY AS IT IS APPLIED TO BLACK AND OPPRESSED PEOPLE IN AMERICA. WE DEMAND FREEDOM FOR ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS OF THE BLACK RED AND BROWN NATION!
Has Barack condemned this group or other like them for the racism (yes, African-Americans can also be racists)? No, not one word, and I doubt you will here any disparaging word against them come from his camp. He will just keep their money and let them work behind the scenes to further his candidacy and their racist agenda.
The more I find out about Obama, the more fearful I am of his beliefs and his agenda to not unify this nation, but to divide it especially along racial lines.
